Ciao-Kristina "Loueez" here!
My love language has always been feeding people, that is what has sustained me for nearly 30 years in the food and hospitality industry.
In 2012 as soon as my "then" husband told me his job was moving us to Italy I bought my blog domain The Girl Who Ate Italy...While living, blogging and traveling abroad I was able to fulfill most, if not all of my foodie dreams and discover new culinary passions as well. I was so fortunate to go truffle hunting in Southern Italy, helped harvest grapes several years in a row in Northern Italy, collected sea salt from Croatian salt pans, walk through olive groves dating back to the 1600's in Lucca, Italy. Ate the stinkiest cheese I dubbed "Rotting Flesh" in Rome, and not just dine in Michelin Star restaurants all over Europe, but sit front and center in some of my favorite Kitchens in Valletta the capital of Malta.

All while visiting every cheese shop I could find, which lead me to receive my certification from the Academy of Cheese in London.
However, leaving Italy was bitter sweet, I was sad to go but also excited to somehow share my passion for cheese and gusto for life! Upon moving back to California, Long Beach to be exact I started Cheez Loueez. I like to call myself a "Chaterer." Get it? Cheese, Caterer-- Chaterer!
Besides creating gorgeous cheese and charcuterie boards, hosting cheese and wine tastings, as well as personal chefing, I am very passionate about Italian food, wine and spirits.
Cheese is life!
